Main ContentSports Medicine Fellowship
The University of Mississippi Primary Care Sports Medicine Fellowship was established in 2008. Our fellowship offers a unique and exciting post-doctoral educational opportunity for physicians trained in primary care specialties.
It is the only primary care fellowship in sports medicine offered in Mississippi and is one of approximately 120 such programs in the United States. Our program accepts one fellow each academic year and is 12 months in length beginning on July 1 of each year.
There are many highly qualified primary care physicians who finish residency in a multitude of specialties including family medicine, physical medicine and rehabilitation, pediatrics, emergency medicine or internal medicine who desire to have certification in sports medicine.
We are confident in our sports medicine fellowship's ability to provide the top-notch experiences and training necessary to prepare physicians from programs across the United States for this exciting field.
